Everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. Matthew 7:24-25

Country Come to Town

Well, we made it to the Big Apple today. So many people. So many buildings. Makes you appreciate the quiet life at home. I doubt it's ever quiet here.

We only missed one plane today (ha ha), but that did work out better for us, believe it or not. Driving from the airport to our hotel was quite a trip. Traffic was horrible because of the U.N. meetings. The 16 mile route took two and a half hours! Luckily the two little monkeys went to sleep in the limo. They aren't used to getting up before the sun...at least Ty isn't. He's a happy camper tonight. We already made the most important stop on his list. Three stories of fun at Toys-R-Us. Ty picked out a new Hot Wheels track, and he and Daddy had a blast playing race cars in the room tonight.

Going down? You can feel the streets rumble when the subways pass below. I'm not sure if we're brave enough to venture to the land down under.

You couldn't tell it from these pictures, but even after 9 PM it's as bright as day at Times Square. The monkeys loved it here. Both were wide-eyed looking at all the lights and huge, and I do mean HUGE, screens. Something else to miss at home...dark.

I offered to look for a mother-of-the-groom dress for my mom while I was in the shopping capital of the world. Found this cute little number at Macy's. What do ya'll think?
