Everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. Matthew 7:24-25

God Made Dirt…

…and dirt wont’ hurt.

At least that’s what I keep telling myself.

We are right in the middle of a swimmng pool installation, and this week we had a couple of loads of dirt delivered.  I’m pretty sure that a pile of dirt is just as much fun for my kids as pool is.  The monkeys could spend hours digging and scratching around, using their imaginations to build roads and tunnels and forts and bridges.

Just because Lucy Lee is one of the prissiest girls you’ll ever meet, doesn’t mean she won’t get down and dirty with the best of them.  Take a look at her.  She’s actually hugging a clod of dirt!  So unlike her mother.  I could play in a dirt pile in a white shirt and shorts and not get one speck of dust on me.  Lucy?  Not so much!

Leave it to Ty to do a little aggravating.  It’s what he does best.

These shorts may never be clean again.  The little girl may not be either.

Thankfully, we have an outdoor shower.  I highly recommend one if you have kids.  The monkeys were perfectly clean before they set one foot in my house.

I mentioned earlier that we are installing a swimming pool.  Nothing too fancy.  It’s an above ground pool, 18 feet across and only 4 feet deep.  But because our yard is on an incline, this simple project is turning out to be quite complicated task.  The rain hasn’t helped matters either.  Now that the sun is finally out, we hope to get things finished up this weekend.  Keep your fingers crossed!
