Everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. Matthew 7:24-25

Update on Lucy
Ty and I took Lu Lu for her 6 month check up yesterday. Developmentally, everything looked great...16 lb. 2 oz. (50%) 26 inches long (between 50% & 75%...maybe she will be tall! Ha!). However she had two bad ear infections - leftover junk from her bout with RSV. We had no idea. She hasn't done anything to make us think she's had an ear ache, but last night I could tell she was starting to feel bad. When she woke at 4:00 this morning she had some fever, and her nose was trying to get stopped up again. Ugh! Just remember her in your prayers. I hate for her to be sick again.

Lucy - 6 Months
Can you believe that Lucy is now 6 months old? While I do miss those teeny tiny baby days, I can't say that I miss all those sleepless nights. And it is such a blessing to see how she is growing and developing everyday...her smiles, laughs, and coos...the way her eyes light up when she recognizes me...the way she can reach and play with things now...the way she loves to splash in warm bath water...it's something new and wonderful everyday. Here's Lucy's six month picture with her doll. Something new to deal with this month - she wouldn't sit still for her picture because she was trying to get to the camera. Watch out world! She'll be crawling before we know it.
Ty is always ready to jump in the picture with Lucy. It's the only time he seems to be jealous.
I love the way her little cheeks look in this picture!
New Foods
After Lucy's recent illness, her sleeping habits have been a little mixed up. In hopes that she would sleep a little longer at night, we decided to start her on some baby food. So, we bought a couple of jars of carrots and gave it a go. She didn't mind the new food too much, but it soon became apparent that she would rather be eating her toes. After every bite of carrot, she popped a big toe right up there in her mouth, and I would have to pry it out before feeding her another spoonful. Needless to say she had carrots from head to toe, literally. And her sleeping? Unfortunately, the baby food didn't help her sleep any longer :(
