100 Things

    I’m so excited for y’all to see what I have prepared today.  It’s a little something I’ve been working on for months now.  Actually, my intent was to publish this post as a separate page, but I’m having technical issues with that, so I’ll share it with y’all like this instead.

    This is my list of 100 random facts about myself.  Some are funny, some are serious, but all are true.  Hopefully this list will help you get to know me better.  It was a little challenging thinking of a hundred things, but I had fun doing it.  Hope y'all enjoy!

    1. I have the same birthday as Elvis - the day, not the year - January 8. 
    2. I broke all three bones in my left arm when I was 8 years old.
    3. I played basketball in Jr. High.
    4. I was valedictorian of my senior class - 4.0.
    5. I married the Tool Man when I was 19.
    6. He's 5 years older than I am.
    7. I'm 3 inches taller than he is.
    8. I have a degree in Psychology.
    9. I graduated college summa cum laude - another 4.0!!!
    10. I actually got paid to go to college.
    11. If I had to do it all over again, I'd go to culinary school.
    12. I taught myself how to cook by watching Food Network.
    13. I've seen every episode of the Golden Girls at least 2 dozen times.
    14. I have a good memory.
    15. I'm a procrastinator.
    16. I'm a right-wing, conservative, pro-life, pro-gun Republican.
    17. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and I'm not talking Pop-Tarts.
    18. I worked in a dentist office when I was in high school.
    19. I'm a stay-at-home mom to two, make that three wonderful kids.
    20. I have the best job in the world.
    21. I homeschool my kids.
    22. I have the toughest job in the world.
    23. I worry too much.
    24. I have a messy car.
    25. I blame my kids for the state of my car.
    26. I've never drunk one drop of alcohol. Ever. Not one.
    27. I don't like winter.
    28. Kit Kats are my favorite candy bars.
    29. I have a very specific method for eating Kit Kats. (I should write a blog post about this.)
    30. I've never been to an eye doctor. (Knock on wood.)
    31. I'm a homebody.
    32. Sugar is my favorite food group.
    33. I was a cheerleader in Jr. high and high school.
    34. Gone with the Wind is my favorite movie.
    35. I'm incredibly shy.  Incredibly.
    36. Having a one-on-one conversation with anyone terrifies me. I mean it.  If I haven't married you or given birth to you, or vice versa, I'm afraid to talk to you.
    37. I'm a Christian.
    38. I believe Jesus is THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life.
    39. I believe EVERY word of the Bible is true.
    40. I'm very artistic.
    41. I learned to oil paint when I was 9 years old.
    42. I taught myself to sew when I was 20 years old.
    43. I taught myself to crochet when I was 30 years old.
    44. I don't like talking about being 30 years old in the past tense.
    45. I'm a good speller.
    46. The worst pain I've ever felt was when I had a kidney stone.
    47. Yes, a kidney stone is definitely more painful than childbirth.
    48. I don't enjoy water sports.
    49. I have extremely low blood pressure. My record low is 70/40.
    50. I don’t like cats.
    51. I have one younger brother - one cool, sociable, popular brother - my polar opposite.
    52. I was a super huge Atlanta Braves fan when I was a teenager.
    53. I hate shopping.
    54. Except for flea markets and antique stores - love those!
    55. I don't like going to the movies - that's at least two hours of my life I'll never get back.
    56. My favorite dessert is cheesecake.
    57. I started drinking coffee in my late 20's.
    58. I love drinking coffee.  All. Day. Long.
    59. I can make the best pie crust you have ever tasted.  Guaranteed!
    60. I'm an awesome cake decorator.
    61. I had a successful cake decorating business.
    62. I closed a successful cake decorating business when I got pregnant with my 3rd child.
    63. I love planning and decorating for my kids' birthday parties.
    64. I wish I had more time for scrapbooking.
    65. I've had braces...twice.
    66. I still have crooked teeth.
    67. It's hard to think of 100 random facts about yourself.
    68. I enjoy learning new words.
    69. I enjoy using big words.
    70. I never curse.  I think its a sign of ignorance.  Not to mention it's rude and crude.
    71. Chihuahuas are my favorite dogs.
    72. I've owned 3 Chihuahuas - not all at the same time.
    73. I wish I had more self-confidence.
    74. I've always lived in the same town.
    75. I'm not a risk taker.
    76. As a child I had a fear that my house was going to burn down.
    77. I have a talented tongue:  I can roll it, curl it, ripple it, and flip it upside down.
    78. I do NOT like talking on the phone.
    79. I pretty much don't like to talk, period.
    80. I don't like to sing either.  It's just fancy talking.
    81. I have a strange fascination with cargo ships.
    82. I don’t like to be around people who talk a lot.
    83. I really don't like to fly.
    84. I'm a night owl.
    85. I don't like uninvited company.
    86. I'm beginning to notice there are a lot of things I don't like.
    87. I worry too much about what other people think.
    88. I drive the speed limit.
    89. I love my privacy.
    90. I am self-diagnosed ADHCD - Attention Deficit Hyperactive Crafting Disorder.
    91. I absolutely hate to read.
    92. My mom made me get my ears pierced when I was 12 years old.
    93. I never wear earrings.
    94. I'm having fun making this list.
    95. I was so fat healthy when I was a baby I had to be put on a diet.
    96. I have big feet.
    97. I have a double-jointed elbow which lends itself to some nasty looking tricks.
    98. I am terribly out of shape.
    99. I slept with my blankie 'til I was 12 years old.
    100. I sucked my thumb about that long too.

    And I’m totally bummed that the dumb computer won’t count past 99!  What a let down.

    Anyway, I hope y’all enjoyed my list.  You should try making up one for yourself.  It’s not as easy as you might think.
